STABLE RELEASE

RAIQL 1.0 stability contract

RAIQL 1.0 promotes the tested 0.23 feature set into a stable language contract. 1.0 does not add new grammar beyond 0.23.

Frozen contracts

The 1.0 grammar, normalized IR field meanings, plugin API 1 and core output contract 1 are frozen. Existing valid 1.0 source must not be silently reinterpreted by a 1.0.x maintenance release.

Maintenance policy

1.0.x releases are reserved for bug fixes, security/dependency maintenance, documentation corrections and generator fixes that preserve the language contract. No new top-level syntax is added to the frozen 1.0 line.

Migration from 0.23

terminal
raiql compatibility
raiql migrate --dry-run
raiql migrate

The 0.23 → 1.0 migration updates project metadata and compatibility manifests. The language grammar is intentionally unchanged, so valid 0.23 source does not need a semantic rewrite.

Future experimentation

New language features should be developed outside the frozen 1.0 contract. An incompatible change requires a future major version; additive experimentation must not alter the meaning of existing 1.0 programs.
